What is raw dog food?

Raw dog food is made from uncooked or minimally processed ingredients, usually meat, organ and bone. It comes in several forms: frozen raw, freeze-dried raw that is shelf-stable, dehydrated raw that you rehydrate with water, and gently cooked recipes. Our selection includes brands such as Big Country Raw, Congo Raw, Smack, Rawbble and Ironwill Raw.

Finding the right food for your dog

Every dog is different, and we are happy to talk through the options in store or by phone: 905-509-3417. Many owners move to a new food gradually over about a week, mixing it with the old food. If your dog has a medical condition, check with your veterinarian before changing their diet.

Handling raw food safely

Keep raw food frozen or refrigerated as directed on the package, and wash your hands, bowls and any surfaces it touches. Freeze-dried and dehydrated options are easier to store and travel with.
